Future Business Leaders of America is the oldest and largest national organization for students preparing for careers in business. FBLA prepares students for "real world" professinal experiences. Members gain the competitive edge for college and career successes. More than a quarter of a million students participate in this dynamic leadership organization. (Chapter Management handbook, 2007) Our chapter of FBLA operates the Brewin' Bruin Espresso Stand each morning before school and at all home football games. The money we raise is used to pay for conferences throughout the year. This is a great opportunity for students to learn the operations of running a small business as well as customer service skills. Students must be members of FBLA in order to participate. Our meetings are held Thursdays during lunch in my classroom--9A. |
